Tags: , ,

The problem on gambling addiction is becoming a hot topic of conversations at some offices or wherever you may go. Who would have thought that ten years ago this new and latest epidemic is affecting people from all walks of life? These gamblers who know and come to realize that indeed they have a problem constantly search for a cure or a solution to their problem on gambling addiction.

These gamblers are now trying to move on to put an end their present self destructive lifestyle. People begin their constant search to either help their affected family and friends or themselves now that more and more people have realized and understood that this kind of addiction does exist. There are some compulsive gamblers who may think that they've a problem but are still not certain or are truly in denial stage—they're not willing to accept the fact or admit to themselves at this time that they are addicted.

These are the following symptoms that a compulsive addict may exhibit as they find out that they're facing a problem and they need professional help. 1.) Increase in absences at work (or school) caused by their problem in gambling addiction. 2.) Losing one’s motivation in life. 3.) Loss of interest in friends and family 4.) Displaying anti-social behavior and attitude 5.) Very few or limited cash flow 6.) Borrowing huge amount of money although they may lack the necessary funds needed to repay the people they owe.

7.) Fabricating several excuses not to include themselves from family gatherings and other social functions. 8.) Exhibiting aggressively hostile attitude or behavior towards other individuals. 9.) Telling family and friends that they are working, but even though they're at work, they are still betting online. These mentioned above are just some of the signs and manifestations that gamblers notice the moment they discovered that they are facing a serious problem with this addiction.

Sometimes even when the gamblers notice all those mentioned symptoms above, it does not mean that they're totally ready and willing to give up and abandon their addiction. There may be times that a gambling addict knew that they have a gambling problem but since they are heavily flooded in debt, they have nowhere to run or turn to except to go back to gambling again.

Now that some of the gambling addicts have been notified or they begin to realize it themselves, the perception into their own minds helps in the road to recovery from gambling addiction. Often, it takes the family and circle of friends to help and guide them to the realization and conclusion that they have a gambling addiction problem.

When a close friend or a confidante, family member, counselor, mentor or the gambler himself finally understood that he is facing a serious problem, it is now time to look for the proper informative and educational resources. Once these persons realize that they could move forward with their new lives without the addictive world of gambling, recovery seems to escalate and a world of peace would finally come to them.
