Admit it--we all have our bad hair days and those days when we just woke up at the wrong side of the bed. And some of these days when we feel really irritable and bad-tempered that we lash out our anger at just about anybody who crossed our paths. Yes, it's so easy to snap and bring out the tiger within, but have you ever remembered your mom always reminding you that it pays to be nice and at least be diplomatic?
Even if you can't really contain your anger, still try keeping your words as softer and gentler as you can. In being gentle, it's just a matter of delivery that counts. Try keeping your tone or pitch of voice lower.
So why do you think it's important if you're nice to be around? Hmm---it does pay to be nice. Let's see...
1) In this life, you're leaving a legacy to be remembered long after you're gone. advertisement
 So you'd rather make it a good one. Your earthly life in this world is only temporary, so better be nice. Coz you'll be remembered by the things you say or do, make your life a masterpiece.
2) You are someone else's role model. You may not realize it often, but there's always watching you,and well, admiring you. They say that the whole world may not revolve around you, but other people's lives do. That's why you got to take care of yourself for others consider you their star--and that includes your personality, so be nice to be around. You don't want to be labeled as a Bad Influence, do you?
3) You are the only person in the world who has control of your own life and destiny.
What the other person say to you is way beyond your control. However, the way you react--now that's the one aspect you have control over.
4) Life's too short to be bad. You don't want to be ugly by being bad--that's why just try to be nice. Even if you have to force yourself to do it, do it still anyway. It is a great way to diffuse a negative situation. As they say, why don't you just kill them with kindness?
