Deal With Everyday Stress
Stop being a doormat and get
your self-esteem booster so
you can be the confident
person you've always
wanted to be.

Help end low self-esteem,
get rid of the insecurity
and get ready to experience
a confidence level most
people only dream of.
************************************************************
Stress disrupts the normal
functions of both your mind
and body.
We all suffer the effects of
stress in one form or another -
mild headaches, bouts of
insomnia, restlessness, bouts
of constipation and even
abdominal pain.
And we get stressed from a
lot of things that happen all
around us - marriage, changes
in working conditions, trouble
with the boss or co-workers,
changes in social activities,
and even changes in one's
personal sleeping habits.
The thing is, stress is not going
to go away any time soon.
What's important is your ability
to cope with the stress that
life brings.
************************************************************
The first thing you need to do
is to know what stresses
you out.
Write it down and make a list.
By knowing what your stress
factors are you can try to avoid
them or at the very least fix
them so they become less
of a stress for you.
If it has something to do about
your work schedules and such
why not get organized.
The things is you're probably
stressed simply because
everything around you is
in disarray.
Try and put things in their
proper places.
Who knows, seeing everything
neat and in place may just
calm your mind and help
you focus on your day.
If you feel that everything is
just coming at you from
different directions all at
the same time then go
ahead and take a break.
Take a walk around the place
if you want. Take 30 minutes
if you need to.
Walk while squeezing a stress
ball. I have to say that who
ever thought of making them
and marketing was a genius.
Let me tell you, you may squeeze
the life out of those little suckers
but they do their job because you
do feel better after doing that.
And talking to yourself doesn't
hurt either.
Yes you heard me, talking to
yourself.
You'd be surprised as to how
effective talking to yourself
is in relieving stress.
Don't be ashamed to have a
conversation with yourself.
But if you feel talking to your-
self is not the thing for you
then talk with other people.
Talk to a friend who's willing
to listen and has the ability
to comfort you, not exacerbate
things - make a mountain out
of a mole hill if you know
what I mean.
And at the end of the day the
best stress reliever is rest.
Make sure you get plenty
of sleep.
If you need to sleep early then
by all means sleep early -
even if it means less
television time.
At the same time try to make
your mind clear before you do
go to sleep.
This way your sleep is more
relaxing and more beneficial.
************************************************************
After everything is said and
done, the ones I have
mentioned above are merely
the tip of the iceberg.
We are all different from one
another which means we all
have different ways of coping
with stress.
What relaxes you may be
different than what relaxes
me.
It's comes down to you
figuring out what relaxes
you.
And it doesn't matter what
you do - if making ice
sculptures relaxes you
then go for it (although
that may be a little tough
if it's not winter).
What is important is you
release your steam valve
before you blow up from
the pressure.
And dealing with the criticism
and negativism around you is
one way you can help alleviate
the stress you are exposed to.
See how you can deal with it here.
At the end of the day, you are
the one who has to live with
yourself so you need to
appreciate and love yourself
despite your limitations.
To a stronger you,
Amy Twain
