Staying Positive In This Otherwise Negative World
Learn the techniques that can
help you fight your low self-esteem
and be the person you've always
wanted to be.
Find out how you can do it here.
Fight your negativism and stay
positive.
************************************************************
Speaking of staying positive it
does get discouraging, what
with the way the global crisis
has hit home with layoffs and
cut backs and prices going
up and up and up.
The thing is, now more than
ever, you need to have a
positive attitude and not cower
in fear of what is happening -
obviously easily said than done.
So how do you keep motivated
and have a positive outlook?
************************************************************
The first thing you need to do
is to try and stay away from
negative people.
Yes, misery may love the
company but it doesn't
love you.
They may be your friends or
colleagues but their negativity
can be a big drain on your
own time and energy.
Hang out with people who can
energize you.
These can be your friends, your
family, or your mentors.
Play with children, either your
own, your nieces or nephews,
or your friend's.
They may tire you once you're
done but they have this amazing
ability to rejuvenate your flagging
spirit.
And if others are making negative
comments about you or if you
are placed in such a negative
situation don't respond unless
you know that you're calm and
in control.
Losing your emotions will not
help and will it may exacerbate
the situation.
Instead, take deep breathes
and try to clear your mind.
And when you do speak, do
so in a mild and controlled
manner so as you relieve
some of the tension.
At the same time, just because
it is a negative thing doesn't mean
you will not get anything out of it.
Like they say: everything has a
silver lining.
Look for the positive twist in an
otherwise gloomy and negative
situation.
As Albert Einstein said: In the
middle of every difficulty lies
opportunity.
And work on the positivism
yourself.
Put aside some time to give
yourself a pep talk.
Read motivational articles or
read motivational quotes to
yourself.
Listen to inspirational music
and give yourself some
positive self-talk.
Accept the negativity for what
it is - a hurdle in life that will
make you stronger.
Don't see it as something that
will drag you down but rather as
something that will boost you up.
Realize that in real life negativity
is part and parcel of that and
you will be fine.
As long as you do that, you will
not be so shocked when it does
happen to you.
What is important is you keep
your mind free and clear of
problems because then,
everything else will follow.
And whatever you do, don't run
away from the negativity - this
will only make matters worst
as you are merely postponing
the inevitable.
Meet it head on and fight back
with positivism.
And if you feel like you need a
step-by-step guide to boosting
your self-confidence then check
out what I have prepared for you.
You can do it here.
Remember: only you can fight
your own negativism, but it
doesn't mean you can't arm
yourself to the teeth when
you do it.
Until next time,
