In Australia, executive coaching is now becoming more accepted and recognized as a way of developing individuals and Chief Executive Officers are placing their money where their mouth is and they’re investing in leadership training programs and executive coaching. But what really is the genuine essence of the program and how do you differentiate one from the other? The real answer, my friend is not found in time, process or even in structure but in the ability or capacity of the training professional to not just draw out the proper solutions from the coaches but to make certain sustainable and committed right action.
Executives are beginning to experience the advantages of a man-to-man executive coaching program alternatives where they could really get to the specific details of the challenges at hand and find solutions for them in a safe, focused and objective manner. Now, this is the real essence of corporate coaching. The effectiveness of methodologies in corporate instruction consequently relies in their plainness or simplicity instead of complex procedures.

 The essence of executive training procedures could be briefly summarized as follows: thoughts lead to actions. Actions lead and guide to habits. Habits lead and direct to sustainability. The person being coached should not have to spend most of their time trying to learn strategies but rather in practice of repeating user-friendly styles and methods which eventually become customary.
However, the difficulty comes out when it comes to deciding on different alternatives or options on executive training program, where each seems to possess the same results and advantages that seem to be very encouraging to its promises. The skill of the coaching professional therefore is to ensure right thinking, right habits and right actions.
This happens through a thorough knowledge and understanding of alignment of approach to the person, behavior change processes and the committed actions of both parties. Once agreement has been extended and reached on these three areas, it’s the basic function of the executive coaching professional to guide and help the person in using and applying the coaching strategies and techniques.
Consistency of planned action is the measure of one’s success and in each program practical application is of utmost importance. Take note too, that the outlook of buy in from the decision makers of the corporate coaching program would have a great effect on the commitment and dedication of action from the coachee.
So if the program is considered as a high priority from the decision makers, it will also be for the person. It’s also very significant to ensure that another overlooked aspect may be present even prior to an approval of any executive coaching program. This is the extent of comfort between the coachee and the coach.
This factor seldom can’t be described logical since it is a feeling or an energetic mal alignment which may be present. So if either party doesn’t feel comfortable enough with the other, the result of the executive coaching program would be compromised. Therefore, the coachee must not be forced to give specific explanations for his or her decision not to continue with the corporate coaching program anymore.
