I’ve always wanted to learn a foreign language---I mean, who wouldn’t? Imagine traveling to another country and conversing with the locals there as if you’re one of them. I mean, without having the difficulty to bring along a dictionary with translations in them—that can be a challenge. I can still remember traveling in a foreign country for the first time and most of the locals there don’t speak English. Well, I settled for doing the typical tourist stuff---sightseeing, food tripping (had a hard time talking to the maitre d’ about my order and of course, the usual---- taking cheesy pictures…lots of them! Thus after that limiting travel experience abroad, I vowed to learn a foreign language from then on.
“I can’t find my Muse!” my client once complained when she whined about how she finds it difficult to concentrate, let alone have something to write about, as she was constantly confronted with a blank stare of the white space—on the monitor. She’s a writer by profession and most writers have one time or another been struck by writer’s block. Well, I also write my blogs, and I can definitely relate. But if you want to improve writing skills, you shouldn’t wait for your Muse or any “inspiration” to let you activate your creative juices, so to speak. Okay, I know that it’s really helpful and yes, more inspiring to write when you have your “Muse” around.
Ever wondered what’s life for an introvert is? I know someone who is an introvert and I must say, that they are the most artistic and creative bunch, full of out of the box and unconventional ideas. But they can also be very misunderstood—you know, the shy, quiet, aloof and keeping to themselves type. If you meet an introvert, don’t judge them right away. An introverted personality oozes a certain mystery which some people find simply irresistible. Do you know that introverts could achieve so many things? Since they’re the creative type, they tend to be full of ideas. And though they’re not the fastest people on earth to accomplish tasks, they work steadily and with clear-cut precision and focus.
Each one of us has our own talents and artistic skills and it’s up to you if you decide to increase your creativity to its fullest. There are lots and lots of strategies and simple methods around, and you might be surprised at how simple they can be! For one, it’s quite easy to compare ourselves to others. But the very important rule if you want to learn how to increase your creativity is to never compare yourself to anybody as this would only result in endless frustrations and sometimes bitterness. After you’ve exhausted all means of solving problems and dilemmas through the usual methods, well it’s about time to think “out-of-the-box” and try those unconventional creative thinking techniques. You can always be different in your way of thinking when it comes to problem solving and be avant-garde in your thoughts. And some of these creative thinking techniques include the following: 1. Think about all the options and choices to whatever you are trying to come up with. Collect everything and examine carefully all the facts and information you could come across about the subject matter. However, if ever you get stuck in a rut (which happens to most of us every now and then, anyway), then simply leave it for a moment.
So who says that creativity can’t be measured, used or made tangible? Well then, when it comes to the realm of creativity management, to define and identify being creative is not at all vague or evasive. And when we speak in terms of development, advancement, measurement and benchmarking, one of the initial processes is to first and foremost is to identify on the definitions, choose and ultimately make up your mind on various strategies of measurement and of course, to keep track of every extent for progress and development.
