While we’re at it, here are some of the things that you must know regarding these containers, some of the related terms, and what are the available burial urns these days. 1. Cremation Urn Sizing—(CI) or Cubic Inches is the space or volume ashes take up or occupy and it is also the measurement of how much ash a memorial vase could be able to hold.
These urn descriptions always file the volume or capacity of ashes in Cubic Inches. In terms of volume, a container could be too small. But it is just too large if you think it is too large. A body weight of 1 lb. would more likely to produce 1 cubic inch of ashes.
As an example: A 100 lb person would produce approximately 90 cubic inches of ashes—almost 100 CI. This human would need a vase which is about 90-100 CI. The ratio of 1 to 1 of weight to CI would make sure that you buy a container or vase which will be spacious enough, 99% of the time.
A cremated 210 lb human requires an vase which is more or less 200 cubic inches or bigger and a 50 lb individual or pet needs and vase which is roughly 50 cubic inches or bigger than that. 2. Cremains—are the cremated remains of a human being 3. Keepsake Urn—it is usually a pendant or tiny vase which contains a tiny part of cremains, a small bit of cloth, dried flowers, some strands of hair, etc.
(average of normally 1-2 cubic inches.) 4.
