My friend Brian Maxwell recently furnished me with a copy of one of his great books entitled, “Taking It To The Next Level”. In this gem of a book, author Brian Maxwell is your captain to your self help and self improvement voyage to find your way to your success and personal development.
This book carries with it a lot of self improvement motivation insights especially with its 12-step process “for personal development”. More interesting to note, is that this book is a drastic departure from the typical self improvement programs you may encounter since it concentrates not on the “How” questions but rather on the “Why” questions.

As you take off on your journey, you’ll learn more about the power of your attitude. In that section, you’ll learn that “human beings can alter their lives by altering their attitudes of mind.” Section 2 of this wonderful book tells us that anything is possible. This is self improvement motivation at its best because this tells about our goals and the belief (not just the feeling) that a dream can come true.
When we want something so bad like our goals, instead of aiming for something generic, like happiness, productivity, business, personal money, good health, longevity, etc., we have to be very specific about what we really want. We must start to bear in mind that “establishing a clearly defined goal is one of the most important steps we can possibly take.” Section 3 of the book is about the miracle mind that we posses.
Within our miracle mind we have the intellectual factors that comprise it. These are: our reason—which is our ability to think, our will—which is our ability to focus, our perception—our own standpoint, our memory, our imagination—which is our capacity to create pictures, our intuition/ sixth sense—which translates vibration. See, you'll realize that this book indeed will take us to the next level.
And that’s only with Section 3 of his self improvement book. Now, we have Section 4 which is about creating your destiny. Brian digs more about the 7 Laws of the Universe, but the principal law is the Law of Cause and Effect. And oh, before I forget, after every section, there’s this Coaching Action Information Sheet that asks you certain questions you need to answer; sort of a review of what you learned and wisdom you gained in that chapter.
All in all, there’s 12 Sections for you to gain motivation regarding your quest for self improvement to success and personal development.
