 Brainwashing has a dark history. Normally, when we talk of this term, we are likely to imagine or envision some CIA spies or even cult leaders who are determined on making other individuals bend to their personal choice via a kind of mind control. But mainly brainwashing is typically perceived as having a lot more styles or methods included than only hypnosis and the effects and results are deep-rooted and enduring.
So you ask, is hypnosis mind control a type of brainwashing? Well, in essence, we assume or guess it can be deemed as such. Therefore, what about hypnosis mind control—what’s the deal on it? There are several people who would most likely ridicule at the concept that one could in fact control anybody else’s mind, but there are some cults that are able to achieve this and have done so easily.

And after all, hypnosis mind control also intends to influence one’s thoughts of the subject and that is precisely what brainwashing performs as well. Generally, the individual who is being manipulated is being placed into a longer period of stress over which they no longer have the control and from that situation becomes inescapable.
To add more to mind control methods and tactics though, brainwashing also typically consists of cutting persons off from their loved ones and physical separation, which is basically a form of imprisonment. Whilst most, if not some of the government agencies are commonly accused of practicing brainwashing (or perhaps they do), there is no doubt that it is the cults which are mostly popular for trying to practice this kind of mental control.
These cults have numerous techniques and styles patterned to acquire long-term control over their subjects and their members. And they have their ways of changing them in a way that they cannot longer think independently on their own even when they already away from the cult. Techniques and methods consist of: guilt, hypnosis, exploitation and negative reinforcement of any sort of emotional weakness or vulnerability until the subject or the cult member inevitably becomes totally dependent on the cult for their sense of self assurance and provides them general decisions regarding their behavior to the cult.
So if you meet somebody who thought the idea is baloney, then you may like to point out to all those cults which have successfully done so for many years. It is very clear and evident that hypnosis truly works and once you already learn how to make use and apply those covert hypnosis tactics and styles, then you do not have to go out there and try to set up your own cult.
As a matter of fact, it is considered as an abuse of those skills and faculties. Referring to this form of influence “mind or mental control” may be deemed as somewhat crazed at times, most especially due to the momentary nature of most hypnotic techniques since they are oftentimes conversational in nature.
It is actually possible learning how to influence individuals sans causing considerable harm.
