It is known and scientifically proven that the human mind has great powers. We can increase the quality of our lives by controlling just a small percentage of this power. The term mind control describes the ability to control our thoughts, emotions and behavior. There are many techniques that have been developed for this purpose. One of the most popular is self hypnosis.

Many abilities can be unlocked if we manage to control the human mind. Effective mind control can be used for goals such as quitting bad habits, losing weight, relaxing, increasing motivation and much more. The only requirement is to bring the mind to an open, high suggestible state.

This is called the alpha mind state. The subconscious is open and can accept messages when someone is at this state.

Self hypnosis is all about visualization and autosuggestion. Visualizing that we achieve our goals can increase considerably our chances of succeeding. Recent researches proved the superiority of visualizing the action steps we need to take in order to accomplish our goals over just imagining the outcome. By doing that, in the following days our mind will become more concentrated with our goals. In this way, our enthusiasm is influenced inspiring us to pursue our aims with greater passion. In other words, we control our mind to strengthen our desires.

Quitting bad habits like smoking is also possible with the help of self hypnosis techniques.



There are stories of people who went to a hypnotherapist in order to cure their addiction to smoking. After their session, they could not smoke because the first puff they they tried to smoke left a very bad taste in their mouth. Certainly, the hypnotherapist suggested they feel this bad taste every time they tried to smoke again.

In self hypnosis, we become the therapist. In self hypnosis, we can suggest how we will feel the next time we try to smoke. If we really want to quit smoking, then we must anchor smoking to a very unpleasant thought, feeling, guilt or even pain. On the contrary, we anchor our resistance to smoking with very nice feelings, happiness or fulfillment. Thus, the next time we try to smoke, we will feel bad and need to put out the cigarette. Then, a very nice sensation just follows to remind us that we don't need smoking anymore.
