Thinking systematically is an endless and unending process and it could in fact start at any age. However, starting very early is all the more better and promising for obvious reasons. Systematic thinking is a way of life for those who excel in their careers and in their lives.

Regardless of their independent professions with a few and subtle dissimilarities, they all think very much alike. The Five Steps to Thinking in a Systematic Way. 1. Set the bar higher with each hurdle you cross, you could start to think in tiny yet crucial steps in order to lead the way to your higher and greater goal. 2. Give your thinking its due time. Hard and long thinking about problems and difficulties could open ways and means to helpful information. Although short and quick thoughts can generate good and wonderful solutions, but not often. With life and business problems getting more and more complicated as one move farther down the road, looking for a short cut or a quick and easy way may be a terrible and crucial mistake.



3. Challenge and defy the myths. Dare to defy and confront the myths. Going back in our history, the famous Galileo once defied the natural belief that the earth was not round. Still, going around the earth would not have revealed to him that the earth is indeed round. Rather, he chose to think in extreme ways. Moreover, throughout our history those who have failed to defy the status quo have more likely to be proven wrong. So complex problems at times call for some radical and . 4. Channelize or guide your thoughts. Countless thoughts, concepts and ideas cross every individual’s mind each day.

Even the most impractical or trivial thoughts deserve to be assessed and analyzed before dismissing them. That is why, recording and documenting your thoughts help to place things in proper perspective and saves and stores them for future examination. An example of this is a great and famous inventor Thomas Edison took numerous years just to invent and develop that light bulb still trying out different alternatives and options. Yet he never forgot to write down every one of his steps and even including all his errors and failures, which ultimately prevented him from repeating his mistakes and efforts. 5.

Keep in mind to work within an estimated period. Or else, you might not come to an end. When trying to solve a particular problem, see to it that you give yourself an estimated time frame. The Steps in Thinking in a Systematic Manner. Very briefly, here are the steps on how to think systematically. 1. Analyze and identify the problem before jumping right into action. 2. Formulate and prepare several options and choices. 3. Establish and define a criteria for selection. 4. Be gutsy and daring and make the and stand by it.
