Clearly, being fearful is the major thing, if not the number one factor why we never get to where we want to be. Aside from that, if we are consumed by the things we're afraid of, we tend to:
- be afraid of approaching other people we don't know
- be fearful that people will (mis)judge you if you're 'somewhat different from the crowd.'
- are apprehensive of going after what we really want
- and many other reasons you can think of.
Well, overcoming fear is possible. Here are some tips how:
- Face it head-on. Never try to prevent yourself to live a fulfilling life just because you've trained your mind through the years of letting negative thoughts to grow into full-blown fear. Overcoming fear is also about attacking these fears head-on. When you try doing this, you may realize that: a) your fears are just unfounded (meaning it's only in your mind) and b) YOU are the only person who's holding back from getting what you want.
- Change the way you think; overcoming fear is also about reprogramming your mindset into getting rid of anything that's making you feel afraid.

Try becoming completely aware of how you think. When you feel that you're feeling afraid, begin to transfer your thinking to more positive and better stuff to minimize feeling nervous.
- Lastly, counter-attack your fears with positive affirmations. Overcoming fear is very effective when you're more focused on the positive and you can start by repeating positive affirmations each day, especially when you start feeling fearful or unsure of yourself.
