There are certain rappers and radio disc jockeys which say some unspeakable things that may bring our culture down. So, what can you do to protect your children and build up their characters and values? Why not arrange neighborhood character building parties for your children and their chums? Research suggests us to use moral dilemmas for character building in children.
Now, you could inspire and foster your children and their pals to set up fun and enjoyable parties with moral dilemmas. When kids hear their friends give good answers, it affects and influences their character and integrity to grow. These parties would get the kids to think and light up any rainy afternoon, too.

 Some parenting tips for character building parties: A) Buy some paper plates and cookie dough. B) Ask some parents or guardians for permission for their children to attend the party. C) Bake the cookies and bring in the children. D) Hide some moral dilemmas under every plate. Parenting guide—helping the kids in enjoying moral dilemma conversations and discussions.
While the cookies start to melt in their mouths, tell the kids to search underneath their plates for a special dilemma. Ask every child to listen, read and talk about their dilemma among the group. Expect some great answers, smiles, laughter and various reactions from them. Parenting advice—here are some key questions to inspire the conversation and discussion: A) Is being competitive okay if you steal idea from someone else; why or why not? B) How can you be a friendly competitor with someone else? C) How many solutions to a dilemma can you come up with? Parenting guide to consider using this moral dilemma at the party to evoke those questions above: Donnie likes to earn extra cash by to buy a second hand scooter.
He begins to go door-to-door asking his neighbors if they would hire him to weed and cut their grass. He will be charging $7.00 an hour. Now you see that Donnie is making good money; and you want to make money also. So, you try to knock on the same doors and ask if you could weed and cut their grass for just $5.00 an hour.
Parenting guide in giving ideas to help the children think about: A) Stealing ideas or concepts from your competitors can create enemies and may give you a bad name. B) Competition is normal and natural but there could be problems if you steal ideas. C) You and Donnie can decide to go into a business together, charge the same amount and share your profits or, you can D) offer to help the neighbors by doing different jobs such as washing their windows or cleaning their garage.
Praise the kids for their good ideas after each of them has presented their dilemmas for discussing. If you do, they will enjoy sharing their own opinions. The kids would be helping each other to think with character. What’s more, they love to hear their friends appreciate and share their ideas, too.
