Tags: self improvement, self esteem, earn someone's trust
Maybe it's the aura or 'look' you project, or its' your personality. But if we go deeper beyond surface issues, trusting someone is simply more than just meets the eye. They say that you can't get anyone's trust--you have to earn it. Some find it easy to have faith in someone that easily, while others are too wary in trusting someone.
*Take note that you can't earn someone's trust overnight. The more you spend some time together (bonding), the more you build and establish rapport with one another.
*You got to treat everyone the same respect as you want to be treated. advertisement
Who would want to believe someone who doesn't know how to respect others? If you want to be projected as someone who can be trusted, then be respectful of others. If you try to put on a nice and sweet image but you're also known to be backbiting others, then, how can they have faith in you? You build your own character and you develop a bad reputation about yourself if you come across as someone not worthy of people trusting you.
*Be aware of your body language when you want to earn someone's trust. Anyway, you can always feel if a person is already comfortable with you if they already warmed up to you and on a deeper level, you do more than just chit-chat--he or she is already confiding in you, even some of their personal details in life.
*If you already established that level of faith and confidence, don't abuse it.
Go out of your way to make this new found friend of yours get closer with you; if she/he got problems, offer some friendly advice, but don't get too judgmental. If you seem reliable and trustworthy, it won't be long that a friend can trust you easily.
Remember that if you lost someone's trust, it will be quite difficult to earn it all over again.
