We all talk to ourselves a lot. It has actually been estimated that up to 1500 words per minute pass and travel through our brains conveying and expressing several number of thoughts which form or mold our view of the world, determine or gauge our intellectual state and just at times are part of our thought processes.

Much of your self talk is the effect of one’s thinking coming from our subconscious mind and is a result of our memories, our past conditioning and other aspects which affect our subconscious thinking processes. It can feel as if most of our self talk is out of our conscious control.

Yet they wield a tremendous force or influence on our conscious minds and the results which we are able to attain in life. In general, your self talk, the conversation that you undertake with yourself almost continuously, is a powerful factor of your mental and intellectual state. If most of them are supremely negative---such as “I’m not good enough”, or “I can’t do it…”, then you will be very unhappy, have low confidence and low motivation.

However, if one’s self talk is mostly positive and uplifting, then the reverse is true. You could make use of mental self help to alter one’s self talk from that of positive to negative… But the good news is that psychological researches have shown that, with just the right amount of persistence and endurance, you could transform them into more positive.





If for instance, you converse to yourself regarding the way that you like your life to be, the chances are significantly augmented that it would turn out that way. Talk To Yourself In Order To Improve On Yourself. There are actually a variety of ways to a more positive and optimistic ruminations.

You could utilize and apply will power to stop yourself, you could undergo some helpful programs of self analysis to get rid of past traumas and so on. Anyway, all of these methods or techniques could be somewhat difficult to apply to oneself and can often take a long time.

And one of the most effective or best methods of developing and enhancing one’s self talk is by using positive affirmations. This is a surprisingly simple way in changing or modifying one’s self talk---you speak to yourself in an optimistic and favorable way, and with some dose of perseverance, your subconscious mind alters its habits and your self talk transforms into a more positive one! Using affirmations has already been proven to be effective by numerous successful individuals.

Your affirmations or declarations have to be positive statements of what you truly want and desire. Negative declarations of what you don’t want would just increase to one’s negative energies and condition your thinking to accomplish what you do not want. In addition, affirmations also should be more emotionally-charged and used in a regular basis in order to be more effective.
