Tags: self improvement, self esteem, without makeup
Who says that you have to have makeup on just to look and feel beautiful? Well, beauty is not just about the outer appearance of our faces and bodies, but also about our personality and how we deal with other people. Anyway, there are ways to feel beautiful even without makeup.
For one, look at that face (and body) in the mirror--but instead of zeroing on your zits, blemishes, flaws, whatever, find something you really like; admit it--there has to be at least one or two about your appearance which you truly admire or others find lovely. Focus on it while improving your imperfections.
Don't be afraid of color; nope, we're not talking about race here. advertisement
We're talking about your wardrobe to complement your image. If you feel trapped within your gray or black office wear, try a brighter hue of orange or scarlet scarf, necklace or other accessories! Colors add zest to a sea of drab neutrals. Still hesitant to experiment? Try a safer blue--it's universally considered to be a happy color.
Choose your friends wisely--yes, we heard it so many times. If you mingle yourself with self-confident and positive people who don't criticize harshly, then you're in good company and you tend to follow suit. And have you considered getting a gay friend by the way? In the journal "Body Image", a study published last year found that gay men as friends can enhance a female's self image.
Without makeup doesn't mean not beautiful.
If you choose to see way beyond your facial imperfections and look at your best assets, then you can look and feel beautiful even without makeup!
