Last Monday's blog talked about some of the unhealthy ways of dealing with stress. As promised, I'll give you the alternatives--the healthy ways of dealing with stress. - Look for a replacement--channel your energy into another productive activity, as opposite to procrastination.
- Take care of yourself--sometimes, stress arises because we tend to neglect our health. Sleep for instance--make sure you have adequate rest for it affects our moods for the day if we lack adequate sleep.
- Get active--exercise! Everyone knows that there are various benefits of exercise; from fighting back diseases to helping you manage your weight, regular exercise is a must. But consult your doc prior to starting any exercise regimen.

- Always look at the positive things in life when dealing with stress since your thoughts affect your emotions. The Law of Attraction says that what you think, you will attract. Teach yourself to think and attract the positive so that you'll channel your vibe to attract the good things.
- Talk to a trusted friend or family member; don't underestimate the power of your support group especially when dealing with stress. Even though they offer no advice, just their mere presence is enough to give you the strength you need to pour out all your sentiments. What a relief you'll feel soon after you unloaded the burden obstructing inside your heart.
- Be pet-friendly. Research recommends that the presence of certain animals carry a beneficial effect. But you don't have to force yourself to go get a cat or puppy if you're not willing. You can at least walk the neighbor's doggie twice a week or try to volunteer to an animal shelter.
Hmmm...maybe I'll walk my neighbor's cute terrier this afternoon. Got any more ideas you'd like to add to the list? Let me hear what you have to say and post your comments below.
