Last Wednesday, (which was my birthday), I had fun celebrating it with my friends. Of course, it's only natural for a party celebration to have some drinks here and there, and if you're not careful, the you're in for a nasty hangover. Nope, I didn't suffer from it, but some of my heavy drinker friends did. The next time you go out and have a bash, or just to hit the nearest bars and have some fun, maybe you better read this first. Arm yourself with tips not about not to get tipsy, but how to cure a hangover. Well, the only way to truly prevent it may be not to drink at all. advertisement
But for all those who can't resist, there are still actions to cure a hangover.
- Firstly, drinking water is a good way to prevent it. Drinking water before and after you drink is effective. You can always interchange your drink with either a juice or water.
- To cure a hangover, try taking sips rather than big thirsty gulps. This will give a chance to process the alcohol.
- Stay away from dark colored liquors like rum or whiskey.
- Just limit yourself to only 1 drink per hour and avoid combining various kinds of drinks. For instance, don't drink wine, then punch, then beer.
- To cure a hangover, don't sleep right after you're done drinking.
Bear in mind that when asleep, our metabolism slows down. That's why you have to stay awake to aid the processing of alcohol within the body. - Did I forget something---oh yes, when planning to drink, eat something--preferably foods rich in protein and carbs.
Okay, I think that's about my friends, so the next time you hit the parties, take note of these tips so you'll be hangover-free.
