When someone loses control of their emotional response mechanisms, the chances or probability for physical or mental harm to themselves or to others may tremendously increase. You see, the rigors of daily life could take a toll on your emotions regardless of an individual’s beliefs and inner strengths. Most of the time, you may see a person become furious and irritated at the antics of their mischievous toddlers or even the calmest of persons can easily lose their temper in a traffic jam. Knowing how to enforce and implement some stress reduction tips in your everyday life to lessen or even get rid of tension is vital to anyone's existence. And how do you do that—simple, here are 5 easy yet highly proven methods you can start using today in order to eradicate stress and attain inner peace.

1. Effortless breathing techniques—talk about a stress reduction method! Take rather deep breaths, inhaling and exhaling the same number of seconds. Concentrate and focus on each breath thinking only about your breathing, inhaling through the nose and exhaling through the mouth. 2. Find out and extract the source of your tension-(if possible). Look for the source and either neutralize it or remove it completely. This is probably one of the simplest yet most effective stress reduction method known to mankind. Don’t just sit back and wait for those things to change—take charge of your life and change them yourself. 3. Take a cat nap—relax and lie down for about 20 minutes.
Let your thoughts return to a time when your lifestyle was comfortable and carefree. You can daydream about the beach, the sky or the ocean or any picturesque scene your mind can conjure. Free your mind and think and imagine those pleasant things and be light hearted once again; also, relive those happy and memorable events from the past. 4. Feet exercise and manipulation. Get a squeezing ball and roll it around your toes and roll it underneath your feet back and forth. Spray your feet with a nice cooling foot spray or you could soak your tired feet in a salt water bath. Another exercise you can do with your feet is to take off your shoes and start wiggling those toes. Sounds silly, but try it—it works! Then, make fists with your toes and use your hands or the floor to stretch your toes back towards your shin. 5. Take a brisk walk—outside or around the room even for just a few minutes each day. Do this alone, so you can have the much needed “me” time. Do not just walk slowly or aimlessly or shuffle your feet; try to walk with meaning, with speed and with purpose. Being able to use these stress reduction techniques is not merely important for your entire health and wellness, but even more so for the other persons in your life. Family, friends and workmates would appreciate it when you found your own styles and strategies in eliminating stress from your life as possible since your internal tension contributes to theirs too.
