How To Improve Memory

Tags: , ,

Memory is not intelligence. The power of the mind to process and deduct is attributed to intelligence but you have to know that it does some part in assisting the power of your mind. The understanding of human recollection is always complicated. Do you know that human memory is one of the most important things in human knowledge? Without it even the most powerful mind can get lost and return to basic ideas over and over again.

It's a simple fact that once you understand the simple idea or situation, you could stand a better chance of remembering it. All of us have a limited capacity in terms of memory. There are few people who are blessed to have an extraordinary memory but come to think of it, most people don't enjoy that kind of gift.

As we know, our recollection is limited but there are some devises that can help us remember some opinions and ideas even a hundred years old. And take note, we're not only talking about the ideas and concepts that we can recall, it also allows our feelings and emotions and some certain moments in our lives that we can treasure.

For instance, you're reading a historic book that lived in the roman empire. Just imagine you are in that time and you can understand almost every aspect of their lives. Even though it is not intelligence, memory techniques mold our thought and practice its ability. Memory techniques exercise the power of our brain and drive the brain to process what it remembers.

For example, you meet someone and you want to remember their name. You have to think where you are probable to see them afterward and anything you perceive about them. Another good method to remember involves telling yourself why you desire to remember something and how you'll recall it. It is obvious that seeing something which is significant will stimulate the brain and it can hold the name and the extra links in the brain that can stick even more firmly in your memory.

The simplest way to work it out is to start telling yourself that you've to memorize this. If you just learned the person's name, for example, notify yourself “remember that”. It shows the unconscious mind to grade this effort higher in importance. To know some techniques, trying to use some location is also helpful.

Such as, your house, your office, your garden and other locations you know well enough. Start walking around your house or office and then select at least five places that you want to associate a memory to something. Recall them in your mind in some particular order. Do this with mental imagery and even sounds.

Then, you want to remember your list of things, you'll just have to walk around your house and everything will be clear in your mind. A simple day to day activities is also a great way to improve our retrospection. Doing something repeatedly can make your daily life very smooth.

By learning and using any of the techniques above, you will soon find yourself able to rely on your mind more than before.
