There are a lot of good time management tips out there, but often, it seems that the tips you hear from many people are conflicting. When it comes to learning how to manage our schedule, it is actually finding out what works for you and what does not.
Here are some of the time management tips that worked out for me. Given below are just some of the time management tips that have worked out the best for me. 1. Do the most important tasks or things first. Time management tips oftentimes become mental or intellectual tricks.

You would feel like you're more in control of your day if you get the two or three most urgent or important tasks or duties done first thing in the morning. 2. Keep your to-do list for the day on a piece of paper that's small enough to fit into your pocket.
Having it on paper is much easier and faster and it is always on hand whenever you need it. Having your list with you everywhere you go will let you look at or add some things to it anytime and wherever you are in the world.
It beats carrying around an electronic organizer, which you have to turn them on and then you still have to open up your to-do list. Also, another thing with electronic organizers is that they can be bulky as opposed to having it on paper. Keeping things simple is still the best.
3. Ask yourself if this task is really important or significant. Keeping busy is in fact another form of procrastinating. Most times we find ourselves doing some things to occupy our time so we do not have to do the tasks we hate, fear or don't like.
4. Make weekly and monthly goals and then narrow them down into day to day to-do list. If ever you have an upcoming big project, try to narrow it down into easily attainable duties and tasks. In this way, you won't feel too intimidated or overwhelmed as the big day looms.
5. Tasks increase or accumulate in importance depending on how much time you allot to them. Try not falling into the trap of adhering to a rigid timetable. For instance, if you allow yourself three hours in completing a certain task, it will likely give you three hours to finish a task.
Yet in fact, you can complete the task in less time, but because you gave yourself three hours, so it took you three hours. Sometimes the timetable slows a person down by compelling you to spend hours on work which are unimportant. At the onset, it may be quite difficult to plan, organize and get your schedule under control, but through constant practice and if you do it long enough, these time management tips will eventually turn into habits so automatically, you will get used to them and do it on a usual basis.
Hopefully, these time management tips can be a big help to your daily activities.
